Re Wolfson...

I posted these links last night on another thread about potential guardian ad litem, Dr. Jay Wolfson.

Wolfson was accused of assault on a woman colleague back in 1996.

I hasten to say that accusations and lawsuits of this nature are often frivolous; but this case seems to have progressed to the point where the woman accuser did get some $$$ award from Wolfson's insurer, State Farm:

Correction: The incident involving Wolfson was in 1994, not 1996.

Also, on closer reading of the court papers, it appears that Wolfson's accuser did not get money from Wolfson's insurance company because the incident took place while Wolfson was acting in a business capacity, not in a personal capacity (and injuries incurred in a business situation were not covered by Wolfson's insurance policy).

I personally am not too worried about this guy, and wish that the Schindlers could expidite his appointment (if the Schindlers say they'll refuse anyone else named by Schiavo, what good would the five day wait do?)

The reasons I don't fear this guy:

If the judge followed the law in naming him, that would mean he was selected through the guardian ad litem office. This office is independent of the trial courts.
If the guardian ad litem office were corrupted by Greer/Felos/whomever, Greer would have appointed a (corrupt) guardian ad litem for Terri long ago.
Unlike Schiavo and Felos, Jay Wolfson has a real job and would not want his reputation smeared by misconduct in this case.
Unlike Schiavo, Felos, and Greer, Jay Wolfson does not need Terri to die to cover up any past misconduct.
Although much of Wolfson's work will be covered by confidentiality laws, many key aspects will be public. If he acts against Terri's interest, it will be obvious to anyone who cares to look.

Anyone agree/disagree with my reasoning?
