One caller to the Cates show said that the only reason Graves endorsed Shallenberger is that he got a call from Bush telling him to get off the dime and do it. Anyone else heard that before?

I have heard that several times actually. I wouldn't be surprised if that's true. You listen to Cates too? Do you ever call in?

I'm so glad Doug Mays won. He's so much better than my rep...a Dem. Mays' opponent ran a very nasty campaign.

I haven't... but I came close to doing so this morning. I saw Cates at the election watch party in Topeka last night. I didn't speak with him, but I could tell he wasn't totally happy with the climate.
