I think Trump's unapologetic in-your-face Tweets are effective in reaching out to young population, rebelling against establishment. If the messages were measured and polished, it may not have real appeal to youth.

They're starting to tune in over at NR, so I suppose there's hope that somebody in dinosaur politics is paying attention to what's really going on in the country. What CNN really did was simply another manifestation of old media attempting to control, channel, and dominate the new, and it isn't going to go down like that. They're stuck in the mold of dial-up BBS's and magisterial pronunciamentos from alphabet networks. The real world has moved on, in fact, it moved on some time ago.

This is still partly a country of free men and women who loathe political correctness, despise authoritarian ukases from the unelected and unaccountable, and see through the paper-thin pretensions of a self-nominated political class. It isn't even partisan. Can anyone imagine this resistance coalescing around the likes of Jeb Bush? I don't think so.

The revolution everyone was straining to spot coming from the Left is coming from the Right instead. That's going to be very hard for a lot of preconceptions in the "informed" media, and there will be some bruised feelings and very likely a few bruised heads as well. Long time coming, but it was inevitable, and it's here.

1. I’m jealous, you beat me to the punch with this article.

2. I think this is the first article to illustrate the generational backlash the Millenials will face as the true impacts of their snowflake, safe space, quasi-fascist attitudes settle in on the following generation.

The money quote for me is the authors observation that CNN and their ilk:

“...have ignored the reactionary post-Millennials who, despite holding liberal values on many issues, voted en masse for Trump. (A Hispanic Heritage Foundation study backed up the voting data, which was limited to only the oldest of Gen Z. Their findings: of 50,000 teenagers, Trump would beat Clinton by 15 percent.)”

This is as a significant generational political shift as that which occurred between the baby boomers and Gen X in the late 70s and 80s.

The last thing we need is another flavor of snowflakes. We don’t need more intelligent adults, not more namby-pamby, basement-dwelling lazy cowards.

Actually, I think the Baby Boomers and Gen X were on the same liberal page back then. The Baby Boomers who grew up became more conservative since then. But the post-Millenials represent the future. This is good news.

NR is digging out of their CIA-Buckley cave and noticing the sun is shining in a big world outside.

Unfortunately the monsters are still lurking in the cave, so no-one should have any illusions about NR.

They do not have our back.

“When Pepe frogs and “Kekistan” flags were discussed, the New York Times and the like wrote them off as symbols of racism and bigotry rather than rebellion and antiestablishmentarianism.”

This was the money quote for me.
I’ve been waiting for this to happen. I’ve preferred (with some adjustments) to be like a compass and in general maintain the same ‘curmudgeonous’ views that I’ve maintained since the 80’s or so (probably longer). I’ve watched as people ignored reality trying to assign genders inappropriately. They’ve swallowed lies upon lies with the global warming hoax. They’ve tried to use violence and threats of violence from the civilian population to control behavior and thought. They’ve destroyed people’s lives with their bradburian (adds to dictionary) smear campaigns from the media. They’ve used government institutions to thwart grass roots movements.

Now comes a new generation who will infiltrate into the establishment deep state entrenchments. They are going change the atmosphere of those agencies. If the deep state establishment thinks they’re going to be able to control these kids, they haven’t been paying attention.

Various flavors perhaps, but their geometries will still be the same.

Not if they’re “intelligent” in a bad way, we don’t.

Right with you. I used to worry about the future. Looks like it is in good hands. Maybe Old Abe was right about fooling people. Maybe the hopes of the folks yearning for freedom just can’t ever really be restrained. Maybe a complex combination of all kinds of things. Refreshing, to say the least. Young people struggling for their Liberty. I love it.

“CNN Is Breeding a Post-Millennial Generation”

Very creepy! I’ll bet the Church of Scientology is trying to do the same thing. They had better not leave one of their creations on my doorstep.

“Right with you.”

While I celebrate with you the zeal for their own liberty I think we should be watchful of the vector of the Z Generations new movement. The backlash against the cruelty of the millennials could be pretty severe. They might not be aware of the history they can repeat if it gets out of control. Could swing too far to the right and go to the same place the millennials are now.

Or Much Worse...

These kids have a Broadsword they’re swinging around. Have to be careful because it’s got two edges!

What we have is a new generation who have seen what their lives will be like under the Left.

ESPECIALLY boys. White straight boys are discriminated against by everyone. They can’t date a girl without fear of a rape accusation from a girl who is unstable or vengeful over not being asked for a second date. They are at the bottom for acceptance to college or jobs. They see their future, think it sucks, and see Trump as a way out.

“These kids have a Broadsword they’re swinging around. Have to be careful because it’s got two edges!”

Unless you’re talking about violent drug & other crime gangs or terrorist-indoctrinated Islamic jihadists, “the children” are NOT in ANY way fearsome. They are minors in our society and are not normally afforded such esteem!
