AN opinion poll that correctly predicted the last three US Presidents has announced Donald Trump is in pole position to win the White House.
The Republican candidates faltering campaign was widely seen to be in chaos with some pollsters putting him 12 PER CENT behind rival Hillary Clinton.
But a IBD/TIPP survey has thrown the cat amongst the pigeons by declaring Trump to be on 42 per cent - two ahead the Democrat nominee.
And far from being a maverick result, the company has a knack of picking the winning horse.
The joint Investors Business Daily and TechnoMetrica Market Intelligence survey has picked the winner in 2004, 2008 and 2012.
Each of those times it predicted the next president to within a 0.9 per cent margin of accuracy.
Embattled Trump welcomed the result - based on 791 voters - with predictable gusto.
The businessman tweeted: "Landing in Pennsylvania now....

Except for the monstrous turn outs for his rallies, I think a lot of Trump voters are keeping their vote close to their heart....and we will see a land slide for Trump.
I got one of their fundraising e-mails that said they are confident in getting 266 EVs and just need one of the close swing states: PA, CO, and I forget the other one. For what it’s worth.
it’s likely voters - it misses the monster vote. He’s up by more than that.
Has the NY Slimes bitched about this poll yet?
(For those that don't recall both Rove and Morris predicted that Romney would win "comfortably" in 2012, with Morris going as far as to say it would be a Romney landslide of Reagan 1980 proportions....)
OTHER THAN the news media created polls which show Hillary winning, what other evidence is there to back the polling results?
YUGE crowds? NO.
Roaring enthusiasm? NO.
The media created polls are weighted +11 democrats, whereas in 2012 Obama’s polls were only weighted +6 democrats.
Why the additional +5 now for Hillary when a lower voter turnout is anticipated?
I know that I am keeping my vote a secret. I move in business and social circles in which their is clear disdain for Trump. But I keep quiet about who I’m voting for when politics is discussed. I’m sure I’m not the only one, who just doesn’t want to get into arguments, or parry questions such as “How can you support Trump after he said ————”? I just don’t want to get into it with people.
Shy Tory Factor. No one wants to put up with the grief one gets by declaring for Trump. I suspect there are even a lot of Trump voters who won’t say so in front of their own family members, that’s how intense the anti-Trump bullying is. But in the voting booth it’s a different story. This year, the “I Voted” stickers should say “None of your business.”
New Hampshire, Colorado, and Pennsylvania
I think you have a point. Trump's not waging a campaign he's leading a revolt. We shouldn't let the poll numbers being reported today discourage or depress us! He's got the GOP, the democrats, the media and most of the banking/Wall Street elite in his country gunning for him. They can and will pull out all the stops between now and election day.
Don't let the bastards get you down! Fight like hell and save this country!
It is not so much what you don't know that will get you in trouble, it's what you know that ain't so.
I'm a big person. I don't need a star on my forehead like a 4 year old.

My wife and I just let the phone ring these days. So we aren’t being reflected in the polls.
Throughout history the above listed group has been wrong. They have the power to hurt those below them...until they themselves are destroyed.
I got sick of hearing mine ring so I pulled the batteries out of both of them. Nobody calls me on my landline that I want to speak with anyhow.
Help me out here, please. Just today, I saw posted here on FR a story quoting Rove predicting a Hillary win.
But I have not seen anything from Morris lately.
Considering how badly these two have blown past predictions, this strikes me as the equivalent of putting a really nasty mojo on the Hildebeast’s campaign.
There are some endorsements you don’t want, and Rove and Morris both seem to have become political Jonahs.
I don’t have much use for Rove, but I’ve read a couple of Morris’ books and he does have his redeeming qualities. But a soothsayer he’s not.

In the past week, the polls have shifted decisively against Donald Trump. Now, with his back to the wall, he needs to win the last debate with a strong and tough exposition of Hillarys flaws. Otherwise, he is in for a defeat of Mondalian proportions...
.
Morris is a toe sucker.
When he sucks the wrong toe, he gets bogus results.
