Not sure if these are just rumors. I’d say Trump had people in mind months ago....and it includes none of these.

Pick Nikki Haley, lose the South.
Besides, don’t we have one damned old stock American who qualifies? Do we always have to pick some exotic import with a grievance against the country that welcomed her ingrate ass?

The last two would be awful. I don’t believe in the existence of any “senior Trump campaign source”, at least not one with any real knowledge. I know Lewandowski and Manafort would never even make a peep about such speculation.

Lots of names are thrown out to entice their supporters. Common sense says that Trump will pick someone that has supported him from the gitgo and has the “stuff”...try Sessions or Palin.

Allen West would be great

Sessions, but I would hope Trump would let him do more than attend state funerals and bridge dedications. I would see him as having an expanded role in foreign policy and national security issues.

blindsided by rival Ted Cruz’s sudden exit from the race
Blindsided by victory?
Blindsided by winning?
Blindsided by success?
Is that like being blindsided by hitting a powerball jackpot?
Or how about this: the media is blindsided by their own stupidity.

Didn’t Nikki Haley trash Trump in the response to the SOTU this year?
