From Day 1 of Donald Trumps campaign, everything the privileged, exclusive white-wing of the GOP has predicted has been wrong, including that he cant beat Hillary Clinton.
Trump won the Indiana primary Tuesday night, prompting Sen. Ted Cruz to drop out of the race and leaving the Republican Establishment with egg on their face.
Even Republican National Committee chairman Reince Priebus begrudgingly conceded that Trump is the presumptive nominee, urging party members to put down their swords and unite. Trump has amassed 1,041 delegates, only a few away from the 1,237 delegates needed to officially walk into Cleveland in July as the partys nominee. Hell easily do that with the remaining slate of contests.
Its a scenario that shatters all those predictions about a Trump candidacy from the party establishment elite.
First, they howled that Trump was never gong to win the nomination. As he started winning contests, they scoffed that Trump wasnt winning the majority of the votes. Then Trump won over 50% and 60% of the votes in five northeastern state primaries and won every county.
This wasnt convincing enough.
The #NeverTrump gang crowed that Cruz would be their saviour in Indiana. Now, theyre predicting like fortune tellers that Trump is completely unelectable. He wont beat Clinton and well never vote for him.
Wishing it wont make it so. Among the crowded field of 17 contenders that began this GOP presidential primary process, Trump is the only one capable of beating Clinton.
Hes unafraid to stick it to her and confront her with her problematic past. In the 32 years that Clinton has been aiming to be the first female president of the United States, shes left a lot of baggage in her wake and Trump will be a formidable opponent.
I havent devoted any time, effort, energy to Hillary yet. I havent started on that process because Ive been focused on the nomination, which is probably wise, remarked Trump. With Hillary, I will be starting the process as soon as this is over.
Aside from testing out labels for Clinton like Crooked Hillary, Trump will have a wealth of material to work with.
And I posit that Trump will challenge Clinton for the black vote. All he has to do is remind blacks that his Democratic rival will say anything to get elected. She says shell end the mass incarceration of blacks while the 1994 crime bill signed by her husband, Bill Clinton, was responsible for massively incarcerating more blacks than any president in history. Black lives dont seem to matter to Hillary but black votes do.
A Rasmussen poll found that in a hypothetical match up with Clinton, 41% of voters would support Trump compared to 39% for Clinton. According to the poll, this is a complete role reversal. Clinton led Trump 41% to 36% in March. It appears the more voters hear from Trump on his policies and ideas, the more they support him.
This should make Clinton very nervous and Trump is just warming up.
I’m in the car - who were the panelists?
Steven Hayes is offensive. Run with that guy over Trump all you want.
Steve Hayes, A, B. Stoddard and Krauthammer.
I am glad you are still with us, and I admire your perseverance. Hoping that Ted Cruz has a bright future ahead for all our sakes.
I have lost respect for Fox during the primaries. Many of these people get paid a lot of money to be wrong. If they are the cream of the crop in political circles, not sure if they are worth the money they are paid. Many of them said over and over, there would not be a winner by the convention. Why listen to their biased resentful opinions if they are wrong? It is a waste of time because we learn nothing. Trump or Hillary. Hillary should be in jail. Trump would make better appointments to the Supreme Court and hopefully do something about Obama’s negative policies.
The Fox All Stars are the Fox goofs. They do not get it right. Who wants to listen to people who are wrong 80% of the time? It is a waste of time to listen to people who do not get it. Many people will vote for Trump in protest to the way the country has been going. The media does not have the control anymore. Few people are going to follow CNN and Fox when they are not saying anything unique or interesting. They all say over and over again “this is interesting” but it is not interesting at all.
People are sick and tired of Carl Rove’s predictions. He is has been wrong many many times. How does he still have a job on Fox?
Donald is brilliant, FEARLESS and tireless, and he knows ALL the dirt on the criminal Hillary. Not being PC crippled and spineless as the rest of the politicians, he will hit her with ALL of her criminal activities- from Benghazi on!
When he starts on her, he will SLAUGHTER her.
And those of you who are so angry that Cruz will not be the nominee that you will not vote; with all due respect, PLEASE rethink that. Lets put our anger aside and UNITE. We MUST, repeat MUST get a Republican back in the executive position again! We MUST!
THE FIRST THING THE CRIMINAL HILLARY WILL DO IS TAKE OUR GUNS. SHE WILL CONTINUE WITH OBAMA'S POLICIES TO DESTROY OUR VALUES, OUR WAY OF LIFE, OUR AMERICA.
ANYONE WHO STAYS HOME AND DOES NOT VOTE IS CASTING A VOTE FOR THE CRIMINAL HILLARY.
THERE WILL BE THE USUAL RAT VOTER FRAUD AND CHEATING.
WE MUST ALL GET OUT AND VOTE. LETS MAKE THIS THE BIGGEST REPUBLICAN VOTE TURNOUT IN HISTORY!!! WE CAN and WILL DEFEAT HILLARY.
Why would Fox pay Rove to be on T.V.? When I see him I use the remote control and jump to ESPN.
Like a drum
35 state landslide
There are literally millions who are coming out to vote who had given up on voting. There was no one standing up for them so they did not bother.
Trump stood up and they are coming.
Hillary won’t know what hit her.
All eyes on Hillary.
Thanks
