Because I don't think he wants to be president. It's not a fun job. Plus, he risks a lot of stuff coming put that would make him look foolish. Plus, he would have to raise $1 billion.

He likes getting attention and making inflated claims about himself. El cam do it all he wants now. If you are presid ed not you take hits. Bad hits. All of them do. It's not the kind of thing Trump would enjoy.

>As long as he is claiming that he knows better than all the politicians its all fun but once you're really there its not fun anymore.

Since he has all the money he needs to live the rest of his years in grandeur, I don’t think he is in it for fun, or attention. I think it is legacy. To actually make a difference - and if his ego is as large as most claim, legacy will drive him to the end of the earth.

And he is truly patriotic. Tired of seeing this once great nation kissing the a$$es of little two bit nations.

So are the rest of us.

I know I didn’t spend 10 years of my life all over the planet fighting for the nation I see today.

If that was my bag, I’d become a journalist. That is a perfect description, all talk and no responsibility for results. Trump could have bought a TV station or a newspaper if that was his thing. I’m hesitant about Trump for one reason: he’s taken a lot of “liberal” positions in the past. That doesn’t have to be a show stopper
Sam Donaldson :
"Mr. President, in talking about the continuing recession tonight, you have blamed mistakes in the past and you have blamed the Congress. Does any of the blame belong to you?”

Ronald Reagan :
"Yes because for many years I was a Democrat."
. . . but where is the enthusiasm of the convert?

OTOH, things have gotten so bad that the operative rationale may have to be,

”I can’t spare the man; he fights!”
