Yes it is troubling that he picked Richard Grenell as a strategist & spokesman.

However, that pale's in comparison to Obama's associations.

Really Dr. I am telling you that I am suffering from servere headaches and you are obsessing about the pimple you see on my forehead.

I am in no way happy with our choices, but of the 2 choices, it will be Romney that gets my cote, a vote to defeat Obama. Once Obama is gone I will turn my conservative ire towards Mitt Romney, if in fact, he leads as a socialist or progressive.

Well, you stated that he wasn't surrounding himself with lefties, and he is. Out of ALL of the people, including many true conservatives who would be on board for Romney at this point, his first pick out of the gate is far-lefty on the kind of issue that shows a profoundly disordered understanding of humanity.

For a substantial number of us, Romney is still auditioning. As they say, Epic Fail. If Bill Clinton made such a choice in 1992, we would have been laughing at it all of the way to the election.

You can vote for whomever you want. Mitt Romney is a bad man who ran an utterly dishonest and malicious campaign. If we put the imprimatur on the RINO iteration of the Chicago way, this movie will be re-run every four years.

I know that many Freepers in good conscience honestly believe that the country will not survive four more years of Obama. That may well be so. I KNOW that if Romney has a four or eight year opportunity, there will never be any turning back, barring perhaps a total repudiation with a Reagan '76 type run, only this time with the challenger winning.

A lot of the good conservatives like you who will hold their nose and vote Romney, would be constitutionally unable to put a lot of energy behind it. People say to support Romney as if the Republic depends on it. They don't really mean it. They are not going to spend the hours on the phone, donate the money, put on a fake smile and promote Romney to their associates except in a negative ABO fashion. Many of them even feel a little bit dirty.

As a former New Englander and present Illinoisian, I know the fake Republican when I see it. In 1998, I voted for the Democrat Poshard for governor. Convicted felon George Lyin' Ryan broke his promise to the gullible pro-lifers, vetoed the partial birth abortion bill, emptied death row, and was convicted of selling commercial drivers licenses for campaign donations. In that case the Dem was actually better (pro gun, pro life). Years ago, John Silber was a rather conservative Democrat who lost to the patrician snot William Weld. Since then, the Dems have purged the Poshards and Silbers, and have what they want ideologically. We must do the same with the Welds, Ryans and Romneys.

I'm thinking the long game. If the dam breaks within four years, it would likely be a rupture with Obama, and it be easier to pick friends to side with. With Romney, a fast, but smooth descent with bad guys infiltrating every nook and cranny. If the dam doesn't break, we have an opportunity to either run a united campaign in 2016 against Romney, who will likely draw only one challenger as an incumbent, or another slugfest, only without an obvious RINO successor to the Romney RINO mantle.
