HAHA yep I agree..Sarah should just come out and say “Hey Nikki, don’t call me, I’ll call you”
You know what? It's gotta suck doing the bidding of the GOP establishment. Atta girl, Nikki.
LOL! The only one who cares about Romney’s tax returns is Romney himself, who obviously doesn’t want to release them because he thinks there’s something in there that just might not look good.
Not a Mitt fan, however this issue is BS and we are letting Obama’s media affect our rational decisions. How many people know that Romney has not had control of his finances since 2002? His money is in the same blind trust it was in 4 years ago. He pays 15% capital gains on his income because that is how capital gains is tax. The law firm that his handling his finances is one of the best in the country. He has also given more to his church and charity last year than Obama has given in his lifetime.
If Newt (only choice left), who I am voting for had his way, Romney would pay 0% on this income. All of his income has already been taxed at the full rate. This is double taxation. I am for a 0% capital gain tax to stimulate the economy and Newt and almost all conservatives agrees with me on this point. It is regretful that conservatives spout off without a clue of what they are talking about.
Bye Bye Nikki...the Tea arty is SC endorsed Newt.
IMHO Reid and Pelosi, Shumer and co would wipe the floor with him.
vaudine
That’s fine, attack him on any stand that you believe in. But defend him (or should I say our core princibles) when conservatism is attacked... We have to stand up for what we believe in, even if we don’t like the person being attacked. This attack is not against Romney, it is against conservatism.
Go Newt!
Oh yea, oppose Romney because he is for the capital gains (even increasing it) tax for the rich. He is completely tone deaf to our core principles. But actual income tax thing is a non-issue due to his trust and standard tax rate for income of his type.
It’s the deductions for the tithes given to the Mormon church that he doesn’t want to become an issue.
Apparently they don’t care about his worthless promises and false prattling about being a “true conservative” either.
Too bad, Nikki. Ya coulda been a contenda.
Greenhorn Nikki has found out the repercussions from making an endorsement.
Her future doesn’t look too good at the moment.
Nikki, some salt, pepper, and Tobasco might make the foot in your mouth taste a little better.
Again what is being attacked is the 15% rate he pays on capital gains. If Newt had his way this rate would be 0%. What we need to defend is a lower capital gains tax not more or worry about loopholes for a tax that should not exist. I could care less if his money was in a blind trust (which might be true or not), but a high power law firm is claiming to be handling it and are aware of the scrutiny. As far as I am concern he should pay 0% on his capital gains and he is free to give his money away however he chooses.
As far as the religious aspect... not responding because it would not be kind.
Someone once said, “politics ain’t beanbags”. I’m not trying to be mean as opposed to kind when pointing out the Mormon aspect of Mitt’s taxes. I’m just facing reality (as Mitt has) that it will cost him votes.
“... this issue is BS...”
For all the reasons you stated, the above is true.
For one really big reason, it is not: appearances.
Gov. Romney cannot maintain a posture hiding something from the voters. It appears he is shielding unfavorable information and in a political race ‘appearance’ means everything.
Since you talk as though politically knowledgable, you know what I mean.
