Sarah Palin told President Obama this weekend that the "game" is "on." But it remains less than clear what that game is.
Was Palins speech this weekend at an anti-union "tea party" rally in Wisconsin a sign that the combustible former governor is growing more serious about a presidential bid? Or will she instead continue to lob anti-Obama rhetorical grenades from the sidelines?
After a busy campaign season in 2010, Palin has largely avoided public speaking engagements like the one she attended in Madison on Saturday. But the results of her appearance appeared mixedand if Palin wants to bolster her standing among Republicans, which polls have shown to be steadily dropping, she may yet have some work to do.
According to police, about 6,500 people showed up at the rally to hear Palins speech, but many of them were pro-union forces who drowned out Palin and her backers.
Still, the former vice presidential nominee pressed on, delivering a stump speech packed with criticism of President Obama that made her sound very much like a candidate.
Instead of reducing spending, theyre going to `win the future' by `investing' more of your hard-earned money in some cockamamie, harebrained ideas like more solar shingles, more really fast trains some things that venture capitalists will tell you are non-starters, Palin told the crowd. Were flat broke, but he thinks these solar shingles and really fast trains will magically save us. So now hes shouting 'all aboard' his bullet train to bankruptcy. Win the future? W.T.F. is about right."

as a fan of hers, i have to say that was the best speech i’ve heard her give in a long time. maybe because she was just let it rip. whatever it was, it was a great speech and if she does run i hope she takes that same attitude.
Yes, how nice of the L.A. Times to give fair analysis of Sarah Palin here. /sarcasm/
“Is the presidential game finally on for Sarah Palin?”
No. It’s on for Donald The Fearless should he run.
Hey, Obama wants her to bring it on. Very bravado of him, because he knows he can count on the MSM to put her down. Remember in any debate although she may be the better speaker, he’ll be there with all his writers to back him up. Taking questions from the audience is BS, its a rehearsed thing. Whether she runs or not, she’d put on some show for sure. “She left after 2 years in Office!” seems to be the most they can say about her regardless of the circumstances. If the Donald comes up with anything that will stick, it may be a favorable situation for her. Personally, I think she is building up the expectation. When she finally says yes, then the momentum will start.
Agreed. I heard her on the stump for McCain/Palin and it was a recitation of talking points - well delivered, but just not this level of enthusiasm and fervor behind the words. She is more in her element in front of a live crowd (even on a rainy cold crappy day surrounded by union thugs) than in front of a camera trying to get a word in edgewise with Boring O’Reilly.
I hope she runs. Not just for the obvious reason, but I’m thinking we will see a campaign like no other.

Methinks she's had a little inspiration from another contender to get her act together. Trump, maybe?

Is it little Trigs birthday today?
Wrong, Sarah has been on Obama long before Trump ( For example, “Jan Brewer has more cajones than our President”) I give Donald credit for being aggressive and in your face to Obama but he is not the first or the only one.
Yes... she said “GAME ON” and Sarah is one person that says exactly what she means... unlike every other person playing in the presidential sandbox... including the muslim liar in chief.

Me too! She is (and has been) running. Saturday’s speech was her first 2012 campaign speech.
I love when he attacks obama... I will never vote for him.

Been saying it. I’ll keep saying it - Run Sarah Run!
Sarah, let the left bitch and moan (they always will, regardless) and just let it all out. Go for it, Sarah, it's what we love about you.
I LOLed when she said that.
The same Donald who donated money to Chuck Schumer, Anthony Weiner, Charles Rangel, Harry Reid, John Kerry and Ted Kennedy and the DSCC (for starters)?
Who called for Bush to be impeached?
Who is on record supporting universal health care?
Who has abused eminent domain laws for his own gain?
THIS is the one you seek to be our standard bearer? Someone who donated money to RAHM EMANUEL'S mayoral campaign????
I know I like some of the attacks he's levied against Obama...but he is not a conservative. He's not even a Republican!
And frankly...anyone who announces that they'll strongly consider running third party if they don't win a nomination...thereby enabling an Obama re-election aka Ross Perot... is an immediate no-go and puts all of his attacks into serious question.
Consider, please, that perhaps his motivations are not what you think they are.
