Would it do any good if we all email Ashcroft now, saying NO! to the AW law in 2004? Maybe if he and GW know how much support is out here to end the stupid ban, he can start easing down that prickly path toward just letting it sunset while the democrats howl and whine. It's bad enough that the dems don't have a credible presidential candidate and don't have much of a plan for anything else, but to sunset the AW law AND have the SC rule favorably on the 2nd amendment, now THAT would be one huge party in 2004!

The AW law of 1994 has had no effect on decreasing crime what so ever. It may the most assinie piece of legislation to come out of Washington. All it did was increase the BATF bureaucracy and inflate the overblown egos of the liberal establishment.
