The fact that there are ex-gays means nothing.

Only if you close your eyes to the truth.

Many of them just become celibate, and perhaps the ones who are able to "change" were never really homosexual in the first place.

That’s right…they ALL fit neatly into your speculation.

In any event, there are very few ex-gays,

There are hundreds of thousands.

while there is an enormous amount of societal pressure against homosexuality.

None unwarranted.

That indicates to me that maybe it is not possible for change to occur,

There are hundreds of thousands.

What do bisexuality and incarceration "prove"?

That it’s a choice of behavior.

And testimony from who, saying what?

I gave you’re the link…READ IT.

"That’s right…they ALL fit neatly into your speculation."

Perhaps they don't all fit into my speculation, but so what? I disagree with your premise that any gay person can change their sexual orientation. We don't all fit neatly into your speculation.

"There are hundreds of thousands."

Where do you arrive at that number? Are you talking about people who experimented in college and later married, or are you suggesting reparative therapy has "cured" hundreds of thousands of homosexuals?

I agree with you on the point that behavior is a choice. But I think where you're going wrong is you aren't recognizing that we make the "choice" to engage in homosexual behavior because ATTRACTION TO THAT GENDER EXISTS. That is what defines homosexuality and bisexuality.. the attraction to a specific or either gender. Jail is a different issue altogether.. there's a huge element of control, as well as lack of sexual partners of the opposite gender, while still experiencing sexual urges.

Not that I've ever been in jail. ;-)
