The Martin County Board of Elections decided Wednesday to hold a preliminary meeting Monday to consider what should be done about alleged vote buying on behalf of Democratic candidates. The meeting is scheduled for 6 p.m. in the Martin County Commissioners board room. It's the first time the election board has had this type of situation, Faye Martin, elections director, said. The board will consider allegations outlined in an affidavit and discuss the validity of protests made by a registered voter in Williamston and six thwarted Republican candidates. The candidates are John Wobbleton, candidate for N.C. House District 4; Jeff Lewis, candidate for the Martin County Board of Commissioners; Larry Cooper, candidate for Martin County sheriff; Don Carson, candidate for N.C. Senate District 3; Donald Carman, candidate for Martin County Board of Education District 5; and Amanda Stroud, candidate for the nonpartisan 2nd Judicial District Court judgeship. The voter is Freddy Griffin, a Williamston businessman. Asked what could happen if it is found that criminal activity tainted the outcome of the election, Martin said she didn't know. "Your guess is as good as mine," she said. The board will have to decide if holding another election is the appropriate fix, she said. The affidavit contains signed statements from voters and poll workers claiming Democratic Party organizer Kennis Wilkins, his wife, Brenda, and County Commissioner-elect Ronnie Smith offered to pay them in exchange for votes. Two women wrote that they were offered $225 to vote a straight Democratic ticket and an extra $5 to solicit Democratic votes at the polls on Nov. 5. The complaint also calls for investigation and possible prosecution of those named in the complaint. Under North Carolina law, offering money in exchange for votes is a Class I felony, punishable by a maximum of 15 months in prison for each offense. Greenville attorney Randy Doub filed the complaint with the Martin County Board of Elections on Tuesday. Martin County elections board to discuss alleged vote buying

Everyone knew voter fraud by the Democrats was the norm, but the crazy aunt in the attic was never discussed until the Florida fiasco.
Thanks, Al.

Democrats are idiots. Maybe a Democrat just can't get elected without breaking one law or another. What else can be said?
They're busy discussing Match Box cars and Barbies.
Stuff like this is wayyyyy to deep for 'em.
How could anyone not vote for a 'pubby named "Wobbleton?" It's a crime against nature!
