I urge you not to use a "straw man" argument, where your response to an argument is not to address the real issue

See, I thought the issue involved a person who, obviously triggered by hysterical anti-smoking propaganda, shot a woman.

It's not your business or anyone else's whether this woman smokes while pregnant, although you're trying to steer the discussion in that direction.

Personally, I don't care if your wife goes bungee jumping while she's pregnant; it's her choice.

Let's just follow this logic. A woman can do whatever she wants, even if it endangers her unborn. If that results in harm or even death to that child, that's that woman's business and no one elses. Am I reading you correctly?

If you want to amend your comment to say that you believe that the behavior is OK because it is not putting the unborn child at risk, then feel free to do so. But I think that arguing that a woman can do whatever she wants with the fetus inside of her is going to be very unpopular around these parts.
