OK, you can't smoke tobacco on campus. How about pot? What sort of college is this anyway?

LOL, In Canada the smoking age is 19, but if they legalize pot, the pot-smoking age will be 16..... how is that.

But even worse, they deny this and claim it is the tobacco company advertising that is causing the increase in adolescent smoking - but even worse - the dipstick media actualy believe them.

How can that be, when in Canada teen smoking is also on the rise, advertising here has been banned for over 20 years. :-}

Yeah, it's the "tobacco company advertising that is causing the increase in adolescent smoking", in their wet fascist dreams, it is! I'm with you. I am the daughter of a MILITANT anti-smoker, the most puritanical health-nut to put ALL of these control-freaks out of business for life, and what did I do?? Of course, I started smoking because it was way cool to do whatever she was hell bent on me NOT doing. My point is, I don't WANT kids to smoke, but these idiots are almost guaranteeing that their kids WILL smoke if they make it "cool" enough by being so butt-wrapped about it. The reason there is an explosion in kids smoking (and we all see it at the movie theatres) is that the Hillary Clinton/Nanny-No-No's of this world have made it the forbidden fruit of the age.It's positively CHIC now for teenagers to light up a Marlboro because of all of these nagging Hillaries riding their cases about this.When will we ever learn?

TV and radio advertising has been out of the US for even more years than that, I think it is closer to 35 years.

But even the MANDATED anti-smoking advertising the tobacco companies do is asailed by the antis as promoting smoking.

when it comes to the die-hard antis, it is a no win situation. and it has gotten old.

short answer - NO.

I'm with you - I don't want to see kids smoking - but the way they are going about doing it is WRONG. parental responsibility - talk to your kids. The health nazis have this idea that we are unable to be parents to our children.

I have a mother and father, I don't need the government or the health nazis to try and replace them.

These idiots think its healthier to eat at a fast food joint and sit behind another automobile in traffic and inhale toxic fumes.

I'm a smoker and I hate to see any more infringments on our rights to smoke.But I try to keep it out of other people's faces,which others don't always do.There's always two sides to a story,and I know there's no shortage of idiots in the world,but why can't they just leave us alone to smoke in peace?
