** ** CITY COUNCIL HEARING DATE IS SET - (CONFIRMED) |
IF EVER YOU WANTED TO MAKE A DIFFERENCE AND LET OUR LEADERS KNOW YOU FIND THEIR BEHAVIOR UNACCEPTABLE, NOW IS THE TIME TO DO SO! |
YOU MUST ATTEND THE CITY COUNCIL HEARING
*CONFIRMED DATE: THURSDAY, OCT. 10th, 1PM PLACE: CITY HALL, COUNCIL CHAMBERS
* Date and time is always subject to change by the council. Please call the Speaker's Office at 212-788-7210 a few days before to confirm. |
LET'S FILL THE CHAMBERS WITH ALL THOSE OPPOSED. LET US SPILL OUT INTO THE HALLWAY AND ONTO THE FRONT STEPS OF CITY HALL. LET'S MAKE SOME NOISE!
NO ONE HAS TO BUT ANYONE WISHING TO SPEAK TO THE COUNCIL TO TELL THEM EXACTLY HOW YOU FEEL ABOUT THIS SMOKING BAN CAN SIGN UP TO DO SO WHEN YOU ARRIVE.
ONLY A LARGE SHOW OF OPPOSITION WILL HAVE ANY IMPACT. TIME TO OUTNUMBER THE ANTI-SMOKER CRUSADERS AND RUN THEM OUT OF OUR TOWN! |
Some little government nerd will find out what you like, and BAN it.
WHAT DID I JUST SAY!
In that case you should leave this very minute.
Don't change the subject.
And learn how to use apostrophes -- it might save your life one day.
"...with Liberty and Justice for all."
"...as long as they don't rain on my parade..."
An FSU grad making accusations about intelligence?? That's rich!
Seriously, you might want to make real careful you don't emanate any malodorous vapors from your armpits next time you do the tomahawk chop after your Noles go in for 6. Your neighbors might get offended.
Don't even think of firing up the barbecue at the tailgate, and if you want to stay consistent and preserve the atmospheric purity of every individual, you had better bike to the game on governmentally-approved dust-free trails.
Your attitude is part of the problem. Smug and gratuitous use of government thuggery to enforce your pet peeve is not an attractive personality trait. That offends me, long-distance, and you'd better clean it up or I'll be on the phone to my congressman.
If anyone is in New York City, you should really try to make this City Council meeting. I would love to see the smokers outnumber the anti's just once.
If no one speaks out against this ban, it's just going to be passed and the City will suffer even more.
Delaware thought it couldn't happen to them. It is going to happen on the 26th of November. It will happen. But if people start speaking out now, to protect individual property rights, the anti's will have to go back to square one.
That's GREAT!!!
