I think it is unfair to begin persecuting your workers who are smokers after so many years. Can you imagine working at GM for 20 years and having them all of the sudden change the rules?

It is within their rights to change the rules. You are most certainly correct. It is also within my rights to not purchase a product from a company that jumps on the bandwagon with a feel good, knee jerk health program that is going to piss off a lot of its workers.

I certainly don't want the government forcing a company to allow or disallow smoking.

Your certainly right! It's cruel and inhumane punishment. People need their jobs, and this is really going to add to a lot of ill tempered and embittered employees.

You know, a lot of these people have only a few years left to go before they can collect their pensions. They just can't up and quit. "They" have them by the you know what.
