Maybe we should start a grass roots movement to get abortion clinics and bathhouses taxed at a rate similar to cigarettes.

I'm in the boonies, tobacco tax hasn't been high until recently so not any retailers around here yet. I'm sure they will start to show up. Until then I guess the web will have to do. Thanks

River City Tobacco Company does pretty well on prices for good cigarette tobacco. I used to smoke primarily Pall Malls and Camel NF's, but find their $9/lb #2 tobacco quite fine... actually much fresher and nicer than the commercial cigs.

Their URL is http://cigs-for-less.com/vHome.htm

I have met Chief Wallace. He is a delightful, freedom-loving man, and he gets MY business ALL the time.

steve50, call 1-800-CHEWERS and get a Fred Stoker catalog. (No, I don't get a kickback. Darn it.)

Thanks, Cantiloper. That beats Stoker's Premium by a couple of bucks a pound. Not bad at all. (A pound makes around 3 cartons, for those who don't yet know.)

Bad laws deserve the anarchy they create.

Free-market concepts are foreign to the socialists in the NY Legislature.

Heavy taxes on cigarettes? Smokers will just go to the black market. And state and federal law enforcement will just get bigger and more unconstitutional.
