Exactly how is it a good investment? This is just another example of the general government robbing me of my money and spending it on something that isn't covered under the Constitution

Actually, it IS Contstitutional for the fedgov to defend its citizens. This is a pre-emptive measure to defend our populace. Any time the fedgov spends money to protect my grandchildren, I have no complaints. It's all the other outrageous spending that frys my butt. Regards.

Spending money to help another government to rid themselves of nuclear weapons that they may or may not use on these United States is not money spent on defense. You might as well say Bush gave 500 million for AIDS in the hopes that those nations do not become our enemies. What? Pre-emptive defense spending now? An ounce of prevention and all that? Why did the USSR(at the time) build the nuclear weapons? For defense against weapons built here. And now we have to pay to help them disable their weapons along with paying for disabling our weapons? The winner of the Cold War pays for everything? No, this is another example of this nation playing the world's 'police force' and overstepping our bounds

The US should have gotten these nukes when we won the cold war over 10 years ago- part of the spoils to the victor. Now, I'm starting to wonder who won.

I have a friend who just took a job at DOD for such activities. He speaks Ukrainian and is a rocket scientist.

Do you think after five years and ten billion dollars spent, Russia will have somehow misappropriated the money?

Sure it is. Unless of course you prefer to wait until a few hundred thousand Americans are killed by nukes or chemical weapons after they fall into the wrong hands...to THEN decide to get rid of the source of weapons is important.

Of course they've misappropriated a portion of it. That's SOP.

Question is, was it 10% or 50%?

I believe this company is uniquely qualified to handle the problem. Fact is, they've already done some of Russia's stuff before.

By the way, USU is their NYSE symbol. The share price of $8.71 might be history before the end of tomorrow.

Maybe the US should pay its specialists to go over and dismantle the weapons Russia wants destroyed. No use wasting money when you can do the job yourself.
