Sounds like a great idea! I don't believe I have ever agreed with a candidate 100% of the time! I just won't blindly support every issue of anyone if I don't agree with it! Senator Don Nickles, my Senator, probably comes as close to being someone I support 100% of the time. I am not sure I have hardly ever disagreed with the way he has voted.

Quit going to Bill Kristol's cocktail parties and we'll stop calling you a "neocon".

Fair enough. I always got him confused with Richard Simmons anyway.

I wish more here could be like me and learn the ability to take the Best of Rush and let the negative divisive garbage go out the other ear w/o polluting your mind.

He [Reagan] was battle hardened in a way that Bush isn't. They're both great, but we can't expect another Reagan.

George W.Bush is no Ronald Reagan. There is only one Reagan. But Bushes conservative approach to internal party politics and governing, is very Reaganesque. I wouldn't call Bush43 a light weight though. He lived through the Reagan years, with Big George as VP and then spent four years at his fathers side, along with a guy named Lew Atwater. A true political genius. Bush and his good friend, Karl Rove, are real good at the political gamesmanship needed to compete, with the libdems, inside the Beltway.

Check out the link at RE# 629. A great Reagan quote is at the other end.

No you didn't. You posted a homily about the constitution that you happen to agree with. You have yet to tie any action by the administration or Republicans to examples of not being "constitutionally minded". You have made NO case, just your personal opinion you think is unassailable simply because you used the "constitution" as your tag line.

On the other hand, because George is an "R" he must be able to walk on water.

If GWB were to ever walk on water, there are many on FR who would gripe because he got his shoes wet.

"IMO, the problem with most people in this forum, is their belief that there is a significant difference between the two parties where the rubber meets the road."

Take a man and a woman, stand them five feet apart.

Now walk as far as you can possibly walk away from them and still see them.

You can tell that there are two people standing there, but you can't tell which ios which.

Maybe it's where you're standing that is the problem here.

You have no idea what the percentage will be, unless you can foretell the future, by the end of Bush's term.

Well Ok, let's just say from a Conservative's point of view, Bush has not exactly gotten off to a great start. In the meantime it seems that his feet needs to be held quite close to the fire.

Good point about Rush. I didn't even know he was bashing until I read it on here. I just got tired of all the golf chatter and the callers that were liberal that he would talk to forever. So I went back to Easy Listening radio except to occasionally tune him in during the past year. Think FR has had a lot to do with it because I like coming on here to get my news and information!

Willie, this is the last time I'm going to explain this to you:

Bill Kristol: Effeminite television personality with curly mop and boyish looks

Richard Simmons: Same as above, with fat chicks

We want a conservative, and when we are assured by the likes of all the Bush supporters on this forum that he was, and those like myself said the emperor has no clothes, and low and behold, he proves me right

And your choice for president is? Do you have a better choice? It sounds like your pulling against Bush and hoping he fails. You didn't support Bush in the beginning and don't support him now. I don't always agree with the President, but I'm always pulling for him.

"Oh no you don't. I'm not going to let you get away with trying to twist a statement that says that no one should have to pay more than a third of their income in taxes into a statement that says everyone should pay at least a third of our income in taxes."

I am not. I am saying that no one should have to pay a third of their income to the Federal Gov't. In fact no one should have to pay more than 15% to the Federal Govt.

Am I to assume by your statement that as long as its the other guy that has to pay 33%, its ok? You know that is how socialists operate too. Its called wealth re-distribution.

here is the thing that I don't understand...clinton did all kinds of unexceptable things....but the dems stuck up for him no matter what...even though he was selling us out. But we finally get a Republican in office and members of the Republican party rip him to shreds over every thing... Why???

Bush had eight months in office prior to 9/11, when domestic agendas took a back seat to retaliating for the attacks. He spent a great deal of those eight months just trying to seat a cabinet, then pushing through his promised tax cut.

Then, he had to reset his priorities.
