GRAYOUT DOOFUS BUMP
To: churchillbuff
The U.S. Constitution guarantees each State a republican form of government. The larceny of Gray Davis is manifest. Time for Ashcfoft to announce the US Dept. of Justice to begin investigations into California government.

"Garry South, sent a threatening letter during bill-signing season to major donors telling them that "the whole world" would know if they contributed to Davis' opponent. That is extortion.
I'll wager that Garry South is an avid reader of Stalin biographies

Hey some of these donations or demands for donations are getting into serious levels:
The news of the Oracle contribution came on the same day that the governor's appointees on the state Building Standards Commission voted, against the original recommendation of its own staff and at the behest of the plumbers union, to block the use of plastic pipe to carry water into homes. The decision makes California one of two states to bar the use of the pipe, which is less expensive to install. The plumbers have contributed $1.3 million to the governor.
It came the day after the San Francisco Chronicle reported that Davis has asked for $1 million each from the California Teachers Association, the Council of Carpenters and the American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees.
The old fascist, Benito II Davis, received 1.3 million in payment from the plumber thug unions for screwing every home buyer in Kali. Then he is using bamboo splinters as he demands $1 million each from the other four unions!
It is time for the building industry to use Rico laws on the Plumbers Union and governor's appointees on the state Building Standards Commission who voted, against the original recommendation of its own staff and at the behest of the plumbers union, to block the use of plastic pipe to carry water into homes.
Yep get some tough conservative lawyers and use the Rico Act to sue these bastards in the union and Davis's flunkee appointees. They should be easy to fry. How much did Davis's flunkee apointments get paid by the Plumbers Union for this outrageous crime against home buyers in Kali.
STOP CRIMINALS/ABORT DAVIS!

Gray has bragged a la Lyndon Johnson that he is aware of every decision in his administration and that nothing happens without his OK. Now he's claiming that he is innocent and knows nothing. Yeah, right. It's time to send ole Gray up the river.

This is surprisingly strong for the Sacramento Bee, and it raises issues like the plastic pipes that will hurt Davis badly, yet which have no direct connection to Oracle and therefore didn't really need to be mentioned. The only possible angle I can see that Davis might like about this is that they might be letting it all hang out now, so it will be "old news" by next November. Even if that were the case, this is a lot more biting than it needed to be for them to pretend "objectivity."

Well, shut my mouth! The Sacramento Bee is supposed to be a liberal paper. I hope this means Grayout is toast.
HOORAY FOR SIMON!!!!

The Sacramento Bee will probably endorse him come October/November...
Makes one sick.

"Campaign fund-raising has been the great passion -- indeed, the only passion -- of Gov. Gray Davis' career. From his days in the Assembly until today, he has been a tireless, even obsessive, solicitor of funds who has amazed friends and foes alike with the energy he brings to most politicians' least favorite task, the schmoozing of the rich and powerful. So when the governor's office and his campaign say that Davis knew nothing about a botched, hurry-up $95 million software contract with Oracle Corp. that led the company's lobbyist to hand over a $25,000 contribution personally to the governor's e-government director five days after the contract was signed, pardon us for being skeptical...
...In short, there's a disturbing pattern of an administration that is more transactional about political money than any in recent memory.
Because the Oracle contract is so nakedly a giveaway that was rewarded so immediately with a political donation delivered to a member of the governor's staff involved in the contract, it needs to be investigated as a possible criminal matter. And because Davis has been so directly involved in micromanaging his administration, that investigation must look into his role.
Attorney General Bill Lockyer is investigating the Oracle contract, but this is a case for the U.S. attorney's office..." - The Sacramento Bee (lead editorial, saturday, May 4, 2002)
Also from the LIBERAL Sacramento Bee, on Friday, May 4, 2002:
You know that Governor "Lowbeam" is in trouble when even the LEFTIES are throwing him overboard!

Ya know...I always figured if Condit went down he'd make sure to take a few with him. Davis spoke out against Condit as soon as he realized he was poison. Both the Modesto Bee & Sacramento Bee called for Condit's resignation.
Things that make you go hmmmmmmmmm......
Wonder how much of this info got to the Sac Bee via Condit, (indirectly of course)!

After all, the news of the Oracle contribution came on the same day that the governor's appointees on the state Building Standards Commission voted, against the original recommendation of its own staff and at the behest of the plumbers union, to block the use of plastic pipe to carry water into homes. Plastic pipe is known to the State of California to cause reduced gubernatorial contributions from the plumbers union.
