Their is no way I believe you would approve of an appointment of a known and ongoing adulterer who would bring the "other woman" to government events. Your statements say that you think it is moral behavior.
Behavior that would have been occasion for societal disapproval twenty years ago is considered normal now. Things are changing quickly.
Whether it is good or bad, we have a new generation and a new America. This is not my America, not the one for which I fought and helped defend for a quarter of a century.
I believe that I am a stranger in a strange land. And the way that people behave and believe now is proof that I am a foreigner. I believe that many others feel the same way.
