Alan Keyes looks better and better all the time. The only reason he couldn't win was because everyone was saying he couldn't win. It had little to do with reality.

Alan Keyes talks a good game - but has he ever actually done anything besides talk?

I'm beginning to agree with an editorial I read a while back that opined that he only ran to get enough publicity to raise his profile and his speaking fees. I'll bet his creditors would appreciate it if he'd use some of that money to pay off his campaign debts.

My question, however, is how Keyes would gain the political capital necessary to get enough legislation passed to really change anything - or would he just veto everything that came his way?

I wont go into his personnal life just yet Amelia , feel free to do so because people need to know the truth . your comment about running to get a marketing profile . I dont agree with politico's doing that but it is a long standing tradition amomg that crowd . Another angle to that is Buchannan, Dole, J.Jackson,Sharpton,Perot . They ran for any # of reasons and they were enriched . I would add Albacore and Mondale , but they are so impaired they actually thought that they had a shot . Yet the list goes on and on and on ...
