The bills we get in our mail box for energy are back down (for gas), or otherwise not up. Davis will blame it on Wilson. Simon will gain overall from this issue, but it is not a killer, and other issues are out there. You do know that Simon paid 30 K to Lou Sheldon don't you? I can't think of anyone off hand that is most subject to demonization with the bulk of California voters. Why Simon did that is a mystery.

Yes, Sheldon. That won't help, but will it hurt 8 months from now? OTOH, Cal's bond rating is down, and it wont be hard to remind the taxpayer of how much money Davis has bled. And also, I think the Hispanic vote is in play..
