Seems like this should have already been posted. I looked, but I didn't see it.

So much for a smaller, less intrusive government. They're all panderers.

Calling the benefit ``past due,'' House Ways and Committee Chairman Bill Thomas said... You know Bill, with the advent of viagra, you can cut the symbolic crap and actually drop to your knees to win the senior vote.

Cry havoc! and let bidding begin!
IMO, we are getting a taste of what baby boomers will demand from the Federal government as they become eligible for Federal benefits.
They will vote overwhelmingly to elect those who open the Federal purse for them.
I know baby boomers like I know the back of my hand. Believe me, we've just begun to see selfish.

This is frankly outrageous. If they keep this up, we will have to start fielding serious third party candidates in many Congressional Districts. Considering the escalating costs of new drugs, this is a down escalator to disaster.
These men took an oath to uphold the Constitution. Find one word in the Constitution that even suggests a Federal Right to subsidize the drug bills of some of us. There is none.
If your Congressman comes home this spring, to be visible in the District, confront him on this. They need to hear the outrage of the public, particularly when they are expecting gratitude from the supposedly bought voters! If they hear enough outrage, they will be intimidated like the pathetic cowards most of them are.
