Wisdom only comes with experience... live longer and become more wise.

Praise God! Good 'ol preacher's son...he just had a little longer rebellious period than most. Now he is a great example. Everything is for a reason. If he hadn't rebelled, and gotten a following...and then come back, he wouldn't have as much impact as he does now. God has his own purposes for things!

The first time I saw Alice was at the Cincinnati Pop Fest of 1970 at Crosley Field where Alice was hit in the face with a creme pie by an audience member. Iggy and the Stooges were on the bill and Iggy did his famous peanut butter act. Both of these scenes are now famous and are played often in various VH-1's Behind the Music and other music documentories . The entire day long event was video taped by a local TV station. Sure wish I had a copy. I've been searching for years. Anybody know where I can get one? Freepmail if you know.
Ahh, those were the days! I'm glad we've both matured!

"he continues to record and theatrical horror-style show" You can't live like hell and expect to go to heaven. "by their fruits, you shall know them.

He has avoided "celebrity Christianity," because "it's really easy to focus on Alice Cooper and not on Christ. I'm a rock singer. I'm nothing more than that. I'm not a philosopher. I consider myself low on the totem pole of knowledgeable Christians. So, don't look for answers from me." For this he should be commended.

In 1991, when our oldest was just a baby, we were attending a Bible church in Paradise Valley, AZ. Who was sitting next to us caught us off-guard and by surprise. It was none other than Alice Cooper!
And in another direction was Jerry Colangelo and family, owner of the D'Backs.
It really shocked us to see Alice Cooper in church at the time.

Good golfer too. Yeah, but when he leaves a putt short, his partners say "Hit the ball, Alice!"

What is it about guys my age and epiphanies? For that matter, what is it about guys my age and golf? LOL!!! I can only say that this must be the reason why Jews only allow men 40 years old and older to begin study of the more 'mystical' components of their faith...because it takes about 30 years for all the silliness and immaturity to be leached away...so that by the time the man is middle aged, he begins to see the error of his youth and the wisdom of those who previously were 'rigid' and 'uncompromising' in their tradition.
To me it is a mark of maturity to recognize how silly you used to be and how much you can veer away from that by simply acknowledging the errors of the past.
It always does my heart good to hear/see a person who was formerly so 'unsalvageable' transform into something of a higher level.
