I agree with much you say. FreeRepublic is a fantastic site, and too hate that Jim has to defend his honesty and integrity. I am not flaming you, far from it.

What I have a problem with are all the people that complain about FreeRepublic and the money it takes to run it. It doesn't matter if this were a hobby or a business. Isn't this America - the land of the free? Isn't this the country that prides itself on capitalism, and the American dream?

If I desired to live in a socialist/communist contry then I certainly would move to some other country. Forgive me for not joining those that complain, but the site belongs to Mr. Robinson, and he told me he made a million dollar profit I'd still contribute. And I'd be thankful for the opportunity. That would be further proof of three things, that capitalism works, that liberals are wrong, and that the spirit of the founders still lives.

I have the same problem. Compared to some other folk, my contiribution is diddlysquat - but on the other hand it is a whole heck of a lot more than some of the naysayers that show up on these threads.

The contributions are totally voluntary and totally up to the donor to reveal. I just wonder how much the naysayers have EVER contributed. And we've had one just being a nitpicker on this thread - she's driven me crazy. But I don't want to chance being banned or even suspended from what I really want top say. (BADJOE did a pretty good job!)

As I said before - If every registered FReeper would give $1 dollar a month ($12 per year) we wouldn't be doing this thing every quarter. At that rate I figure I'm supporting 10 FReepLoaders.
