I think it is the old jewish vote to be honest and the pro-abortion that gets them to vote. The threat of social security being taken away always is scaring them. I work with a huge Bush hating Dem who says just the most ridiculous things like Bush is going to wipe out our social security in 4 short years.Bush is a murdering junkie...etc...just usual DU swill...they really do exist.

I think it is the old jewish vote to be honest and the pro-abortion that gets them to vote (democrat).

An exit poll in Philly in 2000 showed Gore got 95% of the over 65 group, 78% of those between 30 and 50 but Bush won by about 7% the under 30 Jewish vote. Going to take a long time for things to change.

The guy you're describing is one of those for whom the term "Klinton Kool-Aid Drinker" was invented on FR.

I'm talking about people like my best friend from college, who was raised in a wealthy, comfortable lifestyle and works for a Fortune 500 company, married with two kids and just my best buddy in the world, a sweetheart of a guy.

But I think his arm would blacken and fall off if he ever ATTEMPTED to vote for a conservative no matter of what party.

It's just the weirdest thing. I ask him "Dean, how can you, one of the smartest guys I know, still support Clinton after all we know."

His answer: "Democrats are always for helping those who can't help themselves, and I'm a Democrat."

It's just astonishing to me.
