Yes, I get that feeling sometimes. The Democrats are so actively, openly, angrily hostile to Bush and he just continues to forge ahead the best he can in a gentleman-like manner. I think there are times for righteous indignation and calling people what they are "lying, hypocritical jerks"...Well, there are other terms for them, of course.
I have been listening to MSNBC most of the day and they have reported
that Clinton has sent a memo on this already. Also Ari has issued a
memo back tracking big time. I am sure they will have Clinton all over
the TV on this. It is sad how the Repubs back down so easily.
I know exactly what Ari can or cannot say, Ari has nothing to do with how I feel. Ari does as he is told, he is great at his job, I happen to be one of his biggest fans.
As for your getting tired of the complaining about President Bush, can't help you there, that's what we Americans do best, complain.
These men and women that run for public office's are the most vocal human beings in the world, they will talk to the American public about everthing or anybody to get where they want to go.
But the moment they are in that office it is as though someone put super glue on their mouths, they have nothing to say about anything that concerns us unless it is in some long winded speech, other than that, forget it.
Tom Daschle, Jimmy Carter, Clinton and every other low-life you can think of has attacked this man from day one and I for one and sick to death, sick and tired, and just plain sick that this man will not "refute" these dirt-bags in public the way they deserve.
They are "has-beens" and "wanna be's" that have no damn place criticizing the President of the United States just because they can, if they have a legitimate reason for their stinking accusations and "slander digging" I want proof of it, and I want George W. Bush to come forward and make them put-up or shut-up.
Sorry, got carried away, but that is how I feel about this who mess.
I don't know. I just head MSNBC report that he sent one.
But we can't believe everything we hear on the news.
Now can we?;-)
Most Americans don't even listen to this stuff, and of those that do, you can probably figure than a good portion loathe the Clintons anyway, a few love them, and the rest wonder why the Clintons have such bad manners.
Bush has a hostile press. What seems like reasonable response to this stuff would be twisted into "picking on Clinton by the VRWC." It wouldn't work.
Now individually we all can do a lot...letters, calls, etc. letting the press know that we think these comments are terrible. But the President and his staff cannot.
Look at this mess today...and I don't for a minute believe Ari even mentioned Clinton by name. It will be on the evening news, and no doubt Clinton will get to give a response. He gets face time, and nothing is gained. Better by far to ignore them in an official capacity, and let grass roots, friendly columnists and tv shows, and radio talk show refute it.
Feel free to criticize the dems all you want. Bush has to be cautious...until we get the Senate back.
He's doing his best to clean up Clinton's mess he left behind, not to mention fighting terrorism all over the world, get our econamy back on even keel and fight off every scum-bum that has a beef with him or who is after his job (Daschle).
I sure pray things take a turn for the better for him and the tables turn on all the worms that seem to have nothing better to do.
Now with the Crossfire changes adding Carville and Begala, things are going to heat up fast. I was so troubled last night over the same feelings that I used to get back in the campaign days. I am a true Bush fan, but he must begin to counterattack these vicious remarks or things will only get worse and pretty soon everyone will believe them. He can be a Teddy Roosevelt and he needs to get his bull horn out of the museum and take to the cities and towns and get his message out.
The democrats have their full machine in force now and with the likes of MCCain and his trumpet, Bush will lose the momentum he has so courageously worked towards.
There are days when I hear Daschle use his passive aggressive tone about his being very disappointed about this or that, that it makes me feel that Clinton has never left and that the dems have all of the power.

Statement by the Press Secretary
Earlier today, in response to a question, I stated that violence in the Middle East began at the end of 2000 and accelerated in 2001. I mistakenly suggested that increasing violence in the Middle East was attributable to the peace efforts that were underway in 2000. That is not the position of the Administration. As President Bush has consistently said, he supported President Clinton's efforts, at the behest of the parties, to achieve a comprehensive peace in the Middle East.
No United States President, including President Clinton, is to blame for violence in the Middle East. The only people to blame for violence are the terrorists who engage in it.
I regret any implication to the contrary.
I think that's exactly what happened.
I think that's exactly what happened.
Hopefully, Bill Clinton. :-)
