What is the biggest lie of "liberals" in this country ever? What idea, concept, "fact", law, or position is their biggest lie in your mind? What "liberal" lie or cliche really gets your blood boiling whenever you hear it or see it expressed?

My choice is the historical lie of the "McCarthy Era." It is largely a myth and what's more, McCarthy- though he himself was a buffon- his premise was correct- our government was indeed infested with Communists loyal to Stalin. Liberals talk as if McCarthy was the American equal of Stalin- a disgusting comparison and an immoral one. All the liberal "heroes" of that era have been exposed as spies- the Rosenburgs- guilty. Alger Hiss- guilty. IF STONE- most likely a spy who accepted money from the KGB. Oppenheimer- strong evidence of his guilt. MInd you- most of these cases were not even part of the the real "McCarthy era" but in the liberal myth all "Red baiting" is from McCarthy.
The effect of this myth is profound. Even today a communist is not called a communist in our press but a leftist (like Berenson in a Peruvian Jail where she belongs.) A Leftist is at best called a liberal or a "moderate" by our press. And the term liberal has been hijacked by people who are totally anti liberal leftists and communists. Pat Robertson is more of a liberal than Tom Daschle or Ted Kennedy in the true meaning of the word!

The liberal lie that drives me near unto violence is when someone claims that the interests of society outweigh the rights of an individual.

My favorite is *They are for the working families*...
Also, anything uttered by a Rat on SSI is usually a lie
Lockbox...SSI trust fund....all lies

That one gets my blood boiling as well. How many died as a result of the lies liberals told and still tell about AIDS? The entire media is complicit in the deaths of hundreds of thousands. They made Ryan White - the face of AIDS when he was anything but an extreme exception.

It's a toss-up between "Democrats are for the working man" and "If you don't believe in abortion, don't have one."
