We're just going to have to be very gentle with them. The last thing Free Republic needs is another convulsive rift, like we had over Buchanan. So how about :

*our side admits we prefer Bush to Gore;

*their side admits as soon as Bush won office, all pressure on the Clintons stopped;

then having acknowledged these realities, maybe we can find some common ground? This Administration is going to have to be dragged (kicking and screaming) towards supporting the values Freepers collectively hold dear; so where better to get the ball rolling, than from right here on FR?

Hillary gets an $8,000,000 advance for a book that she will publish in time to run for president, she's collecting millions in fund-raising fees, she'ss supposedly one of the best lawyers in the country, Bubba is collecting hundreds of thousands of dollars a night and is supposed to be a brilliant legal mind, and Bush is giving them millions for outside lawyer's fees. They are guilty of everything possible, and defiant as hell. Let them defend themselves. Bush has a mind like a pet rock or is working for their side.
