The FIRST thing the Repubs have to learn is to (mis)use language like the Dems do so well. FIRST, this bill must be referred to as The Anti-First Amendment Bill. Every time it's discussed, it must be called the Anti-First Amendment Bill. It has to be drilled into every voter's head that it is The Anti-First Amendment Bill. This is how the Dems play to win. We should do the same thing. Perception is everything to voters.

I had an article on UPI that was carried by Newsmax and posted on FR last night, The subject was why the Supreme Court would declare Shays-Meehan unconstitutional, perhaps unanimously, if this bill becomes law.

If I knew how to do it, I would link that article, here, Would someone more adept than I please do that?

This memo from the House members is a good tactic. It subtly reminds the White House that President Bush would have to go back on his word, to sign this bill. However, the White House tactic is also solid at this point.

Ari Fleischer is, at this point, ambiguous about whether the President will veto this bill. That keeps the feet to the fire in the Senate. The Senators must seek to stop it there, not being certain that the President will save their bacon.

So far, all players in this elaborate dance are taking the correct steps to keep this bill from becoming law. Because of that, I believe this bill will die in the Senate. No veto will be required. No Supreme Court review will take place.

Lordy, I wish I could get on one of the talking head shows on TV and take apart any supporter of this blatantly unconsttutional bill, brick by brick.

One of our most "rightous" saints of campaign finance reform has been Sen John McCain...an enabler and proponent of islamic terrorist expansion into Eastern Europe in exchange for cash infusions from KLA/NLA extortion, drug, prostitution and white slavery money. Anyone know if this proposed "campaign finance reform" bill will halt $$$'s from foreign terrorist groups?? OR is it actually the strategy of McCain and others like him to disenfranchise our own citizens while leaving the field clear for foreign psychopathic killers like the KLA/NLA to "buy" US elections and politicians?? Anybody want to take a guess who the losers will be if this legislation is enacted?

Rep. Todd Akin (R-Mo.), an RSC member, says the bill doesn't even past the first of the president's six "tests."

BTTT. This is good news.

One thing is for sure,if this nonsense becomes law they will realize in a year or two there won't be enough money to fund campaigns. Then, these same people will enact an amendment to the tax code that will"dock"every citizen X number of dollars to pay for them.

I think it was yesterday on Rush's show there was a guy who was talking to Rush about this very letter G.W. wrote to Sen. Lott. I believe our President will keep his word and tell the American people what the dems/libs have tried to foist on us. If I were in the congress and I had voted for this piece of junk, I would be backpeddling very fast.
