Satanic Ritual Days listed in Christian Books:

There have been many dozens of anti-Satanic books written by conservative Christian authors, and sold in Evangelical book stores. In some cases, the authors appear to create information out of thin air. Others seem to copy the works of other conservative Christian writers. Few if any appear to have any direct knowledge of Satanism. We analyzed 14 books and handouts which attack Satanism. All show a general lack of familiarization with the religion.

One example of the lack of credibility of these books are their lists of Satanic ritual days of celebration were analyzed. We have found the following holidays listed; (book codes are listed below):

This is too weird... LOL!

Damon - means "dark one"...

Damon [Procyon VII] v., n., adv., conj. & int. -- v. 1 tr. a to whollop soundly, with sexual overtones. b (of a moving body) to hit another moving body in such a manner that the two moving bodies become inextricably entangled to a degree reminiscent of Procyonian mating practices.

Damon........................................................................................................................................... >>Origin: Greek >>Meaning: 'divine power'

A tale about two best friends, Damon and Pythias of Syracuse, where Damon trusted his friend so much that he was willing to sacrifice his own life. Pythias was sentence to death, but begged to return to settle his affairs. In other to let him go, Damon took his place with the condition that if Pythias were to break his word and fail to return on time, Damon would die. Pythias arrived on time and the king, Dionysius I was so impressed that he freed and became friends with the two.

In one of the first news articles about Danielle missing, I believe I saw a photo - it was the Van Dams standing at the end of a driveway, and in the near background was a post at the curb with a real estate "home for sale" sign. I looked through all the San Diego Tribune stories, but can't find that picture. Could be their house is up for sale? Maybe they were standing in a neighbor's drive. Wish I could find that photo.

"Apparently the house was completely unlocked..."

I think one of the things that's bothered me from the first is that the part of the house where the children were was unlocked, but the part of the house (the garage) where the adults were doing whatever it was they were doing was locked. What kind of parents ensure their own protection, but ignore the safety of their children?

"Also, I have read a news article that said that all people who were there that night have been cleared. "

I brought this point up on another thread, but it might be worth repeating here. In police terms, "cleared" only means "we're not looking at this person now." L.E. folks (including one in our own family) tell me that no one is ever "completely" cleared until the case is closed--and even then, new evidence might come in that implicates someone who was previously "cleared." So I don't put too much weight on that statement yet--and I won't until after the trial.

"Maybe they "charged" for their orgies? "

Or maybe they had a nice little home business, selling child porn? Does anyone know if little Danielle turned up in any of Westerfield's collection?

Even if it were midpriced for that area, it's hardly midpriced if you're unemployed. Like FresnoDA wrote in an earlier post--where do they get the money for their lifestyle? They're not living on the cheap here, and the father does a lot of job-hopping. Not very stable.

Another question: what makes us think their parties were only on the weekend? We know about one party, and it was on one weekend (with tragic results) but we don't know they limited their, um, activities to the weekend. Your "where do they get the money" question is a good one.

That is only an unfounded rumor, not on public record, that Westerfield had any kiddie porn. He himself said he only had some old Playboys and Hustlers and such from many years ago not recently looked at.

Surely if he had kiddie porn they would have arrested him, it takes very little excuse to destroy a man for that alone.

Largely agree, but the evidence was that the 4 guests returned with Mrs VD to the house and ARRIVED shortly before 3 am...it was the VDs' CLAIM that they only stayed about 15 min!

Yet in that time, all had sex, including her present for her husband....considerable dope was smoked...more likely it was 5 or nearly 6 in the morning before they left, it seems to me.

I haven't heard any details about Westerfield's things, but I've had the same suspicions about Danielle being a victim of that too.

I don't think it is such a huge leap to think these parents could stoop to that. If you're willing to swap spouses and become sexually intimate with strangers, is other sick behavior that much of a stretch?

For all we know they offered their daughter for filming in a similar way that Brenda gave a "present" to her husband that fateful night. It sounds so unthinkable, but so does the rest of their lifestyle if you ask me.

Are you saying that the Redlands man is the teacher at SDSU?

That would be quite a commute--some 200 miles one way.

Or is that just an old listing? We are told that the Westerfield in question has lived in SD for only 2 years? Or is that too just rumor.

Fresno, just out of curiousity, how old are you? You're obviously not of the generation that says..."Live high..pay later!" Unfortunately, that's the way it is today. I see it everyday here in San Diego.
