I watched the House Enron hearing yesterday, at which Ms. Watkins testified about her concerns she brought to the attention of Mr. Lay. CNBC did a laudable thing with their coverage. As each congresscritter began their questioning of Ms. Watkins, CNBC ran a graphic showing how much in campaign contributions they had received from Enron and Arthur Anderson in the period 1989 - 2001.
There's a political as well as a company bankruptcy going on here, and I'm not sure if the politicians have yet realized just how bad they're looking as this process goes forward.
I wonder if they'll have a seance so Ron Brown can testify.
