Stay away from S Asia: Pakistan to Israel

Apparently perturbed by increasing Indo-Israeli defence cooperation and a possible sale of Phalcon spy plane to New Delhi, Pakistan has asked the Jewish state not to get involved in South Asia.

Senior Pakistani officials conveyed this message to a high-ranking Israeli official in Paris last week, Hebrew daily MaFariv reported.

"Don't become involved in our region so that we are not dragged into doing something similar in your region," the paper quoted officials as saying.

Israeli defence sources said security cooperation between New Delhi and Tel Aviv was not targeted at any country. Allaying fears that the sale of Phalcon Airborne Warning and Control Systems could disturb the military balance in South Asia, the sources said: "At the end of the day it's a defence system which cannot change the balance in the region."

Defence partnerships between New Delhi and Tel Aviv has raised concern among few Arab countries in the past.

During an international conference on missiles in Paris last week, a Pakistani official expressed similar concern about possible Israeli sales of AWACS and Arrow anti-ballistic missile defence systems to India.

"We are deeply concerned that there are sales of anti-ballistic missile defence systems and advanced airborne early warning abilities, which ignore the need of stability in our region," he said.

Earlier, Israel made it clear that there was no pressure from the United States against the Phalcon sale and that it was up to New Delhi to decide on the spy plane deal.

Israel wants to sell three Phalcons to the Indian Air Force and the two sides have been negotiating the estimated $1 billion deal for quite some time now. The radar systems of the Phalcons will extend the IAF's range of operation and will give India control and monitoring capabilities from the sky.

Israel has become India's second largest arms supplier after Russia, which include sea-to-sea missiles, surveillance systems, upgradation of India's Soviet-era tanks and aircraft, border monitoring equipment, night vision devices and intelligence cooperation.

Go ahead , think about me. I would never set foot in that part of the world. "Fools enter where angels fear to tread." If you really want to have some fun, you can shoot some Palestinian children who throw rocks at you.

Gee you must be so disappointed that the case in Belgium against Sharon is KAPUT.

All your railing is for nothing. Americans support Israel to the max. (See the polls). On the other hand, you may not be an American. Brit, or French, perhaps?

Hitler was a Muslim? I didn't realise...

Did you realise he had a Muslim contingent in his SS? And that that gang was led by the Mufti of Jerusalem? And then there is this:

Czech PM: Arafat's PA and Hitler's Third Reich are similar

I thought the case against Sharon should have gone to court. However, like I wrote, he escaped on the grounds of immunity from prosecution. There is support for Israel now, of course, but as I wrote, with the changing demographics in America that support could change. Remember also that other ethnic minorities are trying to do the same thing the Jews did (establishing PACs, getting their point of view across through the media, collecting money for their causes, etc.) and they will be getting richer and more numerous over time, while the Jewish birthrate in this country is below-replacement. I am an American. If I question America's aid to Israel, does that mean that I am not? I am sure there are people who will try to draw that conclusion.

What religious axiom do you rely upon to post such an image, with such language?

Ah yes, without Hitler in the history's chronology the Jews would have been considered history's pampered children.

or, again without typos:

Ah yes, without Hitler in the historical chronology, the Jews would of been considered history's pampered children.

Thank you for exposing "Koba" for the fraud that he is - a Muslim terrorist sympathizer, posing as a friend of civilization and humanity.

I had no idea Koba was an Islamic Holy city. Good work, friend.

I am sorry, but I do not think you answered my question. What religious axiom do you rely upon to justify posting something so profane? Or do you adhere to any particular religion yourself? If so, which one is it, and, pray tell, does it sanction such lurid profanity?

You still did not answer the question. Instead, apparently, you have decided to lie about me. Maxine Waters would be proud. As far as mods pulling post 51, is it not possible for them to do the same to the poster? Or can such posters post any disgusting thing they want with impunity?

Who are you, that you should post an image that so clearly desacrates one of America's greatest symbols? Have you no shame? I never have done such a thing, nor ever will I. You can invent lies about me all you wish, but you'll not find me descend so deeply into the gutter of the profane as to post such an image on this site.

BTW, what does "flip" mean? I am not sure I understand your meaning.

I have no such ping list, I was merely asking a question, and responding to your reply. Perhaps no answer is the answer, and since one will apparently not be forthcoming, I won't bother to ask again.

how successful would Israel be if it had to militarily and econmically fend for itself?

Without our billions, chances are, Israel would be more successful as a country because Israel would not be depending on a Daddy. Israel is allowed the luxury to be a more or less socialist state because US bankrolls them. Without that support, Israel, having one of the world's greatest concentrations of brains and business, would not have dived into socialism and would be in better shape politically and economically than it is. Daddy should wean Israel of cash while, at least for a time guaranteeing her borderswith whatever military resources are necessary.

OK, great. So it looks as if you and I are in agreement. Let Israel fend for itself without U.S. money. If they make it great, if not too bad.
