Welcome back with your classical history forum, AJ, we may not agree on contemporary politics, but there are many lessons from the passing of the late Roman Republic, and we know that contemporary Romans themselves thought that they still had one at the time of Galba (and long after). As the second emperor in the year of the four emperors, Galba is obviously more important in whom he overthrew (Nero), than it what he accomplished (virtually nothing as Emperor).
