Thanks, Liz.

"Ms. Minow recalled in a telephone interview yesterday from her home in Washington that when she asked Global Crossing for a list of its board, the "first response was that they didn't have to give it to me because the company was incorporated in Bermuda." Why would a company based in Los Angeles, need to be based in Bermuda, she wondered."

I'm so glad to see Global Crossing being investigated by the FBI and SEC. Enron dominated the media's attention (courtesy of the dems voracious appetite for Bush) while this travesty was being ignored. Plus, Global contributed to democrazies' coffers far more than Enron contributed to the Repubs. There should be hearings on Global as well.

A. Offshore banking is money laundering.

B. Money-laundering is tax evasion.

Two good articles in this thread--

One on 'Global (Double) Crossing, and one speaking of Li Ka-shing and Hutchison Whampoa.

Yes. I want you to answer what you believe will be the result of hearings. And should you wish -- though you didn't bring it up -- of investigations by the FBI or the SEC. Is that difficult for you to do? Surely you can do it, to explain why you said it is such a good thing.

Don't have the date on this, but how many 'Boards' does Robert Annunziata Chair?

This has to be May, 2000, unless, of course, we have a bunch of 'interlocking directorates'.

Velocita Board of Directors

A few familiar names, and a couple on the management team link as well.
