"You're trying to characterize one party as more patriotic than another. I think that's demagoguery," Gordon told Andrews
Try to? Senator Gordon, Senator Andrews doesn't need any help as long as you're spewing.

...another bill by Andrews that would have required students to recite the pledge of allegiance in public schools Fascism. Inherent in the right of free speech is the right to be free from being forced to say something.

I think you missed the State bump.

Well, for crying out loud, you stupid Dems....what do you expect....you have bills sit in committee for years usually and then you complain when someone tries to bypass your crap. And yes, refusing to put a languishing bill for a full vote IS OPPOSING THE ENTIRE BILL!!!!!! Give me a break, Dems.

Great post, hilarious stuff.
I hope smart Republican caucuses across the nation will duplicate this gambit. The Scumocrats will howl and whine, and those are the sounds that bring joy to my heart!
Besides, teaching patriotism is an excellent idea as a counterbalance to the Injun-killing, slave-whipping, racist, sexist, intolerant, and greedy vision of America that the scumbag NEA teachers drill into the kids' heads every day.
I hope the Scumocrats pay dearly for voting against America, Mom, and apple pie. Drop dead, liberal scumbags, hahahaha.....

Almost assuredly students could have still opted out of saying it. The Supreme Court has ruled that this is the case. Mandating schools say the Pledge is not fascism. Forcing individual students to even if they think it is idolatry etc. is. But, that is against the Supreme Court's rulings.

Rats take over the CO state senate for the first time in 40 years, and tell America to go to hell.....hmmmmm.....

"You're trying to characterize one party as more patriotic than another. I think that's demagoguery," Gordon told Andrews. Well, Gordon, if the shoe fits, wear it. We've all thought that Dems should be wearing the traitor shoe all along. We also know that all you're worried about is the new districting plans that are going on.....the first plan of the democrats was declared unfair by the Colorado Supreme Court, I believe.......yep, you ain't no patriot.

require public schools to teach patriotism A dumb idea by this guy, IMO. How do you "teach" patriotism? I am all for teaching accurate American history with an emphasis on the principles upon which the country was founded, teaching the Declaration and the Constitution rather than just lip service, and reviewing some of the wonderful and brave things America and Americans have done.

Andrews said he did not know who was making the phone calls and was not responsible. He declined to say whether he would use the votes in campaign literature later this year, saying he does not know what the mood of the voters will be next August.
Constitutional republic foundations set aside...
Democratic process just means politicians skimming/extorting/taxing money off a host/parasite democratic process that they keep running. In other words, all they/parasites need do is continually come up with new or "improved" things to vote on. Then allow the public/hosts to vote on how effective they think the politicians are at coming up with new and "improved" things/stuff to vote on. So obviously, of course the government is always going to expand the leviathan.
Voting for the lesser of two evils always begets evil.

"A bill that would require Colorado public schools to teach patriotism has Democrats and Republicans bickering in a very unpatriotic manner." You can't "teach" patriotism at a public school.
Patriotism, like charity, begins at home.

Yeah, what you said. (:

I'll second that in a big way
