Is she the oldest nuclear carrier? I'm sorry to belabor this, but I thought I saw something on her recently and now it will drive me crazy until I figure out WHAT it was that stood out in my mind (old age is hell!)

Kennedy is the youngest conventionally powered boat. The Enterprise is the oldest nuke.

JFK CV-67 & AMERICA CV-66 were origionally proposed as nukes. AMERICA's plans were origionally nuke it was changed early in building. The war in Nam heated up and LBJ made them conventionals.
