Did this plane have as passengers the 2 Arkansas state troopers that were to testify against Clinton?

Believe me, the government lies. If you refuse to believe this you are in denial or just plain stupid.

Yawn! - WorldNutdaily quotes another anonymous conspiracy gomer. Let's not forget that these were the same folks who thought the world would end because of Y2K...

I don't see this as adding anything to what has already been asserted by Michael Rivero and others who believe in the missile theory. WND has always been pro-conspiracy and I'm not surprised to see this purported "revelation" from Mr. Irvine. However, quoting anonymous retired Navy petty officers will not advance the cause of proving it was anything other than a CWT explosion.

This is typical WND crap. Hype something with a misleading title and then fill two pages with old news. From the title one would assume someone in the Navy was claiming they saw or participated in the Navy firing a missile that downed TWA 800. Then you read the article and discover that it's some retired Petty Officer who claims he was standing on the deck of a submarine near the spot where TWA 800 went down and witnessed "a missile hit it and the 747 explode overhead". No evidence of Navy participation and no new information. Maybe I missed it. Can someone show me how this implicates the Navy.

And you think, there are still those who believe anything the government tells them.

I am to the point that if they tell me something, automatically I believe the opposite.

He said he didn't want to do anything that might "mess up" his retirement.

Yet another humbug for the pensionaires. Pensions are eternal chains that turn the normal virtue of loyalty into a vice.

Hooray for 401Ks, Keoghs and SEPs -- any pension plan that is owned from the get go by the employee or enlistee.

For what it is worth:

The scuttlebutt in the medical community among those with militery connections is that the sailor that "pushed the button" is still in a mental hospital, having gone into a depressive psychosis after the incident.

I can't personally testify to the veracity of this. It is third hand to me, but from someone who is very, very respectable with all kind of security clearances.

When Pierre Salinger, at a press conference in March 1997, declared that TWA Flight 800 had been shot down accidentally by a U.S. Navy missile, this former presidential press secretary, U.S. Senator and ABC News correspondent.

When and from what state was this?

This guy should go public and fast.

(The bad guys already know who he is, or have narrowed it down so far that they effectively know.)

He said he didn't want to do anything that might "mess up" his retirement.

I am sick of the public credence given this excuse. These people earn their retirement by being willing to die for their country. If they can't take that kind of risk, they do not deserve a paycheck for the honor of serving this country and its Constitution.
