You notice it is always the people with scads of $$ that show contempt for the "flag"? Since they have already made it in this horrible country, they can easily retire to a social pit without worry. HMMMMMM

those Republicans a mile away because none of them can smile
Funny, most of the reps I know not only smile but have a great sense of humor, unlike the very uptight lefties I have met who turn a joke into harassment of some kind.

So do over 80% of the American people, and that's what pisses Altman off... |

These "celebrities"who live the lives of pampered poodles must have immense egos to think that anybody with half a brain give's a rat's behind where they live. The fewer here the better. They get an automatic bully pulpit and yet they are no more knowledgeable or intelligent than the average person.Blame the media for making them more important than they are.I mean, they get paid millions for playing make-believe.Now,that gives them some real insights into the world, doesn't it?

ROBERT ALTMAN: Hollywood's ultimate outsider is at long last the Big Daddy of American cinema.
To: vannrox
Bush can't even speak, huh? And, how many F102's did YOU fly Mr. Altman? By the way...Gosford Park was one of the worst movies I've seen in years. I suspect Gliiter has more entertainment value. Get up, and GET OUT.

Good, someone tell that steaming pile of crap that he won't be missed.

I enjoyed Gosford Park too. I had planned on seeing it again because I got confused in the beginning about who belonged to who. There are so many characters & they don't speak clearly. I don't think I'll give altman the extra $7 now.

What's wrong with these creeps? So far all of these so called celebrities suddenly don't like America. Well, it was fine when they were making all of their money. Now they have got a gripe with the same country which provided them the opportunity to make it. What a shame they are wasting their breath on utter nonsense. Mr. Altman, please get on the first whatever and leave America. We have only one condition. Never set foot on it's shores again.

"This present government in America I just find disgusting, the idea that George Bush could run a baseball team successfully - he can't even speak! This quote reads volumes about Altman. He doesn't believe in th Constitution at all, but rather in the popularity and impression of famous personalities. He equates the President with the nation and the land.
Which leads to the following question, "Where was your disgust in Clinton and Gore?"
His non-sequitor regarding Gore and his notions about conservation merely shout his lack of intelligence and arrogance about anybody with less than a million dollars cash.
Let's see him vote with his feet, move to Europe and begin paying those socialized taxes there for a decade, just for consistency' sake.

Robert WHO?
To: Ditter
And isn't it ironic that the character who came off as most despicable, (even more so than the old man) was the worthless prig husband who married his wife for her money and then abused her? He as a social climber oportunist who was snubbed quite roundly and in the end got his comeuppance. I guess Altman couldn't resist putting himself in the movie. LOL. Who says conservatives aren't appreciative of irony and subtlety?

Hoof cuts all over his back, ya ya ya, I remember now. I heard there was a tape. The rescue crews said there were lamps on stands, three cameras and stuff.

Altman's feeling is so strong, he's thinking of moving to London for good. "I'd be very happy to stay here," he tells the paper. "There's nothing in America that I would miss at all." Adios Altman, Caio. Don't let the door hit you on the clymer on your way out....
