Based on the information so far available, I'm with the pilot on this one.

is this agent a muslim?
To: veronica
The questions is, did he get the job due to racial profiling?
To: veronica
He's not called a Pilot-In-Command for nothing.

If someone can find a phone number or email address for American Airlines I would like to send them a message of complete support for the pilot.

President Bush told reporters last week that he would be "madder than heck" if racial profiling was a factor in the agent's removal from the flight. Then go get madder than heck. I certainly want my air carriers profiling passengers.

You could have seen the future if you watched the New Year 'celebration' ceremonies in NY's Times Sq. Thousands of people treated like cattle, fenced in little corrals and prohibited from drinking and, I suspect, smoking. Not allowed to leave their assigned corral for hours, watched by cops, helicopters and watching each other, while their 'masters', usually media types with 'credentials' and various armed individuals, uniformed or not, circulated freely and were having lots of fun, I'm sure.
And the poor souls would tell any reporter that would care to ask that they 'liked it'.
And... "we don't need no stinkin' badges", said Arabic-looking the SS man.

President Bush told reporters last week that he would be "madder than heck" if racial profiling was a factor in the agent's removal from the flight. Yes, can't be searching likely suspects, now can we? I suppose if the SS agent had been a woman, you could have called it sexual harrassment?
Stupidity is infinite.

If nothing else, one would hope that the folks in the Secret Service, an elite group after all, would be able to fill out a form properly.

They are 'authorities'. They can carry their weapon anywhere they please and they can usually get away if they shoot you, by mistake or by design.

I think its sad that the President is demagoguing this issue at the expense of the pilot and that the agent is trying to cash in.
Terrorists have stolen pilot uniforms and bluffed their way into the jump seats of planes, claiming to be a pilot. I'm sure the pilots are now VERY aware that a terrorist may try to impersonate an FBI agent some such LEO. What the pilot did was correct since he could not validate the identity of the agent. Guess the SS dude didn't like getting treated like an ordinary sheeple.

I'm with the pilot, right or wrong. Consider the alternatives...
