Seems to me anyone trying to make hay out of this story is playing into the Dem's hands. They've already announced they did not want to give the money back to Enron but instead to a charity that assists laid off Enron workers. You can bet it will be done with a lot of bravado and press coverage. They will probably try to appear to be the "good guys" in this whole thing.

Enron representatives were on Commerce flights to foreign nations with Commerce Secretary Ron Brown. The Enron Democrat connection is not new. The list of execs that traveled with the Democrat run Commerce Dept. is on the net. The big question about the trips was always----- did the Democrats charge $50,000 a seat for the Commerce trips and put the money in Democrat Clintons accounts? The rumors were very strong that HRC ran that show for her husband.

Noble and will make them some good press, but I question if it can be done. That kind of money may well have to come back to the creditor's pot to be split up... I don't know the bankruptcy laws but that may well be considered preferred treatment of a payee.
