I once described my own ideas of restorationism in similar terms to a protesting leftist in Boston. He kneejerkedly responded, " Oh! So you want to bring back slavery, oppression of women, child labor, huh?
Jeez, I was stunned 'cause it was such an absurd response; but I later figured out these are the notions that keep the left, left.
So, how would you successfully assuage these fears of socialists so obdurately inclined to think restorationism is a yearning for meaner times?
Hmm, let me think on that, though it seems that the left does NOT want its fears assuaged. It revels in them. Wish I could understand WHY!
