As you mentioned, he is not well-regarded by the medical community. His ideas are unorthodox but there are a number of people who feel he has helped them when no doctor could. A genius or a quack? Probably a quack but only time will tell. Kauffman is certainly right about one thing: fungal infection is largely ignored by the medical community and, generally, they don't educate doctors for it and they aren't very good at diagnosis or treatment.
