General Siddiq can wear her burqa anywhere in the world. Liberty means that she--or anyone--can refuse to wear a burqa anywhere in the world.

It's a simple concept. But many people seem to find it difficult to understand.

It's kind of like smoking cigarettes.

It's amazing how much alike Liberals and the Taliban really are.

Liberty also means that she--or anyone--can smoke cigarettes or refuse to smoke cigarettes.

Yes, you've nailed it. Societal customs are one thing. Forced societal customs at the point of a gun is another.
