I've had family dogs all my life, and I've noticed that as the years have gone by it's getting harder and harder to own a dog without having the neighbors after you and the dog police giving you problems. When I was a kid dogs roamed around the neighborhood, kids petted them and played with them, and nobody thought anything about it. Now the dog police are after you at the drop of a hat. Dogs haven't changed; people have. They have never been so intolerant.

I just got a thank you note from Jennifer. I am really surprised that she has taken the time to respond like that. I imagine she sent them to many others.
