No, I do not want to retract my statement.

What piqued my interest in this thread was that some posters claim, "No, he does not believe in aliens". And some said "Yes, he does believe in aliens and has published a great volume of material". Well, guess what?? They are both right!!

What I find amazing is that so many are selective and deny to accredit both Cooper personalities. If Cooper lived in a past life he would be the perfect traveling medicine man with an elixir for anything that ails you. The question you must answer is would he be good because he believed the elixirs worked, or because he wanted to sell elixirs?

Looking at what I have read, it still seems that the answer is both! Which makes him in my mind, certifiable.

The man is dead. No matter how it happened it is regretable. I for one have read a lot of his stuff on the net in the last two days. I find it entertaining that he runs with the same passion and clarity in his "discoveries" no matter what thesis he projects, "yes there are aliens" or "no your government wants you to think there are aliens". Add to that the mystery of tax evasion, lawsuits, threats on his life, him threatening other lives, and you have a very complex man. I for one would really like to know what others think.

I say he is certifiable. But, I have been wrong before. If you know better, convince me. If saying that he is certifiable is belittleing Cooper, guilty as charged. But all I do is read and for that I make no retraction.

rFom what I understand, and I knew the man, listened to his Radio program for a few years, and spent a week with him in Az, in addition to reading his book, he changed his mind on the Alien thing when he got more complete information. Nothing certifiable there, assuming he is truthful about his motives.

Haven't you ever changed your mind, especially when you got more facts?

You seem to have already answered your own question and are fixed in your beliefs. Why do you insist I must answer your question? I don't know what his intent was and I'm not going to guess like others. I'll just chalk it up along with other things on the ol' memory chalkboard and move on.
