What part of "THIS IS WAR" doesn't this country understand? The fact that these individuals were as close as they were to a power plant indicates a complete and blatant failure in our ability to protect ourselves. This is a definite breach of security and is completely unexcuseable at a facility of this magnitude. It is time to lock and load. Trespassers at these facilities need to be shot first and interogated later. If we don't interpret and act on this incident as a threat to our very being, what will it take to become an important matter? It is time to activate the National Guard to protect anything nuclear.

poking, prodding, testing our defenses.
For what it's worth, we should not have any standard defense, no schedules, no routines. Everything should be constantly moving and changing.

Note that he subject plant is not a nuclear plant. It's a coal plant. This is just media hysteria.

The Coast Guard is looking closer into this incident. They have the discretion with any water incident. Having the Coast Guard looking into a power plant invasion makes as much sense as having the Park Police investigate a murder because it happens in Fort Marcie Park. And that only makes sense if you don't want them to figure it out.

Uhh, how many people are actually guarding this facility? Doesn't sound too good to me...Put a platoon around each one of these nuclear plants! I admire the feistiness of that woman, though. More power to her. Maybe we just need two women instead of a platoon?

A female security guard spotted one man and chased him. Then she says he turned and hit her. I know I'll get flamed for this, but why are we guarding dangerous power plants by lighter weight, slower running, more easily hit and over-powered...i.e. FEMALE guards?
No offense ladies, but wouldn't you feel better protected by fit male guards? (Like female fire fighers--9 of 10 of whom would rather be dragged out of a burning building by a male than a female...survival is good!)When NFL linebackers are 50% female, then I'll admit we're equal...
No wonder 3rd World countries think we are soft and just plain insipid on such matters. The time for being PC is over!!!
