And like Mr.C would you leave your church if you found their major teachings were wrong?

Now we venture into strange territory. I can't imagine a major teaching being wrong. Were it somehow the case and I could not, after honestly trying, reconcile the difference, I would probably behave like most people, and follow their gut instinct. You did say "major" teaching. A minor thing like about animals, I can have a personal opinion, but if pushed I will abide by the Church's teaching. A major thing I have trouble imagining. It is almost like trying to imagine what you would do tomorrow if you woke up and water flowed uphill.

I know, its like I felt after being in a church for 10 years that taught a works based faith.
